This painting captures the striking and unique coat patterns of a Nguni calf, an old cattle breed that originated from Northern Africa. The pattern is unique to each individual animal, like a fingerprint to humans. This breed is also known for their natural resistance to external parasites such as ticks and can survive extreme conditions on the field. The painting was done in soft pastel on archival pastel board and includes a stylish frame with glass.
Available at the Winelands Art Gallery in Durbanville, Western Cape.
