La Yerba Del Diablo

This is an Acrylic painting of which i used my own photographs as references. The title is taken from one of Carlos Castaneda's book and it is the shamans words to describe the Datura plant which is very toxic and hallucinogenic. The idea behind the painting was to create a Memento Mori that would link the past with the current situation of the Maya or great illusion. The numbers are a binary code from which all electronic computing is used
