I have been painting since I can remember, I enjoy these fabulous places in Asia and South East Asia where I have been living for over 40 years. Landscapes, seascapes, people in their environment and nature are my favorite subjects. I am a traditionalist and always paint on site in plein-air by all weathers and conditions. I attempt to capture the last true moments of these places before it is taken over and away from its juice by globalisation and urbanisation. The last farmers, the last fishermen etc. before they disappear under the chisels of progress and the hammer of the property developers. My passion, is simple, honest and truthful in the tradition of the impressionism movement that sweeped in across Europe, Russia and North America in the late 19th and early 20th century.
